I've never before witnessed a wedding that made space for grief so beautifully. They had lost family who could no longer attend their celebration of union and love in person. The way they had small reminders of him in the details, the way they dedicated a part of their ceremony to him... I had lost my grandmother only a few weeks prior and it took everything to not sob at this gorgeous display of love in all the different emotions it comes in. It reminded me that we carry them with us wherever we go, after all that's the deal we make right? We love with all we have to give, knowing it will end and love even more so because of that.
